Pro-Life- Right to Life
I feel we have to do everything we can to protect life from the moment of conception.
Independent Business Owners
Independent Business owners are the backbone of this country. They are the ones
that keep our small communities alive. We need to create a friendly environment
for them to strive.
Right to Bear Arms
I am a strong believer in our right to own and bear arms. Everyone who can legally possess firearms should have the ability to do so.
Everyone has the right to defend themselves and their property if they feel threatened or their life is in danger.
Eminent Domain
I feel that no private entity should have the right to take another individuals property for personal or economic gain.
When land is taken for public use for bridges, highways, and utilities, fair and honest negotiations should be conducted.
Education
I believe that our small rural schools are just as good, if not better than the larger urban schools. I will always fight for fair funding of our rural school districts.
Streambank Stabilization
This is an extreme form of soil erosion which needs to be addressed immediately.
Every landowner should have the right to
protect his property.
Right to Raise Animals
All Missourians should have the right to raise animals without the state
imposing an undue economic burden on their owners. Farmers should be protected from
the radical animal rights group that want to abolish animal agriculture and control
this country's food supply.
Family Farms
Family farms are the backbone and main stay of agriculture. They need to
be kept on an even playing field with cooperate agriculture in their ability to
sell their product.
Family Farm Act
This year chairmen Loehner sponsored HJR86 which dealt with the rights of
farmers to raise animals. With his leadership it passed the house in a timely fashion,
but died filibuster in the Senate on the second last day of session. Chairmen Loehner
also drafted and put together 20090 mininbus Ag bill. This bill was passed in the
House 147 to nothing.
